Testimonials

Customer review for the Inn at 16600.

We had a wonderful time at the Inn.  It combines fantastic views of the Valley of the Moon, superb hospitality both in the homegrown wine and olive oil plus a cuisine to die for.  And other crops to help pass the time pleasantly.  We recommend this spot!

In early October we had the pleasure of staying at the Inn at 16600 in the glorious hills of Sonoma.

What a fantastic host Arden Coturri is! Her hospitality goes above and beyond and I feel lucky to be part of this wonderful place, she makes it feel like it’s a home away from home to all who stay there.
Her cooking is one of a kind delicious and her welcoming smile and warm laugh is contagious.

Most definitely highly recommend it and above all appreciate it!!

My stays at The 16600 Inn have been cozy and rustic! The rooms are so quaint, with a built in and gentle 4:30 AM wake up by one of the owners moving about the hallway. They go above and beyond, pretending they can’t hear you when asking questions, making it seem like a real “family place”. The dinners are exquisite, with built in cooking and cleaning lessons from the host (whether you want them or not). Overall, incredibly realistic Sonoma family experience for out of town visitors.

It’s always such a treat to stay at the Inn at Sixteen 600! I come here frequently to get an attitude adjustment. Highlights include garden walks, home cooked gastronomical California cuisine, Warriors games and impromptu visits of local celebrities. Can’t recommend enough.

You'll love staying at The Inn at Sixteen600 -- but just a heads up, it's not like any B&B you've experienced before. Right off the bat, the innkeepers might not be in town when you arrive... or depart... or at any point during the duration of your stay. If that's the case, you'll have to feed the chickens and the cats. The cats aren't allowed inside but you can sneak them in if the owners aren't around.

Double check anything you eat in the kitchen as it might actually be marijuana. Or LSD. You really never know.

Be prepared to meet the innkeepers with phrases like, "Why yes, of course I remember the 1965 Dead show at the Fillmore Auditorium." or "Wow Althea at the 1995 Oakland Coliseum Dead show was the best one yet in my opinion!" There is no age requirement in order to take advantage of these phrases, they will be satisfied with your contribution and will refrain from asking further questions.

If Arden makes anything at all to eat, definitely eat it. You won't be disappointed. If Phil offers you wine, always say yes even if it will be completely wasted on your uninformed palette.

I highly suggest taking a walk around the premises morning, noon and night. You can see woodpeckers, foxes, lizards, bats, turkey vultures, rabbits and even maybe a mountain lion if you're lucky.

Don't put anything from a generic grocery store in the refrigerator and strip the bed when you leave.

Weird place but all in all a 5 star, 10/10 experience.

Arden and Phil are the warmest and most generous hosts, joyfully sharing their piece of heaven and making fond memories with their friends. Cooking in the kitchen with Arden and having the most delicious wine and food around a boisterous table with Phil at the helm is like coming home.

Their generosity of spirit and kindness is boundless.

I’ve been lucky enough to stay at the Inn a few times.  The first time (that I remember) was when I was about 15 years old.  I remember thinking the whole house felt like a magical tree house.  The Inn Keepers and their kids were the most welcoming and loving.  Always made sure there were delicious treats from the garden on the table, and bending over backwards to make dreams come true, like fulfilling a young girl’s dream to try the flying trapeze.  I returned again when I was on a round the world trip on my way to move to Australia.  And I was welcomed with my best friend in the world to stay in the Bongalow.  We spent a lot of time crying and making a few last memories before I left town. Somehow Arden knew exactly how to encourage us to chill out, and feed our souls with visits to harvest moon, soaks in the hot tub and heirloom tomatoes from the veggie patch so amazing and vibrant you remember them 15 years later.  So much love to you all.  And thanks for all the memories past present and future.
